Princess Elizabeth to get place in Council of State

London, England (UP) –
The British House of Commons yesterday agreed to a request from King George that Princess Elizabeth, who will become of age as a royal personage on her 18th birthday April 21, be included in the Council of State on any occasion when the King is absent from the realm.

The necessary legislation to make the Princess eligible for the state council soon will be introduced in the House of Lords and is assured passage.

Elizabeth, although a royal personage when 18, will not attain full legal majority until she is 21.
