Solar gremlins hit radio shortwaves
By the United Press
Shortwave reception of overseas radio broadcasts was blacked out almost completely by sunspots last night.
The United Press listening post reported that no overseas stations were audible for more than six hours.
CBS monitors said the blackout had prevailed throughout most of the day, with the exception of intermittent reception of a few broadcasts from Rome and London.
