Japs ‘forget’ to say ‘Bataan’

SAN FRANCISCO, California (UP) – In his surrender message to Tokyo, Gen. Douglas MacArthur specified to the Japs that the code word “Bataan” be employed in any further reference to his communication.

Today, Tokyo replied to Gen. MacArthur’s message. At no point in the text did the Japs use the word “Bataan.”
