WILLKIE WILL REPLY TO BACKERS TONIGHT
New York, Nov. 11 (UP) –

Wendell L. Willkie tonight will answer a question put by many of his 22 million supporters in last weeks’s election:

What are we to do now, Mr. Willkie?

From 10:30 to 11 p.m., on time donated by the networks, he will outline the course he believes the Republican opposition should follow. He will speak from his personal campaign headquarters in the Commodore Hotel.

Stations KDKA, WJAS and WCAE will carry Mr. Willkie’s speech at 10:30 tonight.

Mr. Willkie is expected to counsel his party to cooperate with the administration’s defense and in giving all short-of-war aid to Britain, but to act as a check against any undue assumption of power.

Mr. and Mrs. Willkie will leave Wednesday or Thursday for Rushville, Indiana, where they own five farms. They expect to go South later for a two or three-week vacation.
