Will There Be A Series on Airplanes?

I Love the Coverage from the Chieftan on tanks, but I’m wondering if there is talks to have an expert on combat planes as well

The only caveat I’d offer is there are lots of planes, of a lot of types. That said, it might be interesting to do some sort of comparison by year - the first-line fighter of all combatants in 1939, 1940, and so on; the major bomber(s) of each combatant in 1939, 1940, and so on.

That would give us a look at how each combatant improved over time. Whatcha think? (and welcome to the circus, by the way!)

Fighters, Bombers, Reconaissance, Cargo, Wildcards

In fighters: Day fighters, Night fighters, “heavy” fighters (e.g. Ju-88 with cannons against US bombers) Jet fighters, rocket fighters, high-altitude specialist fighters (e.g. Me-109k)

In Bombers: Light bombers, medium bombers, heavy bombers, superheavy bombers, jet bombers, dive bombers, fighter-bombers

In Reconnaissance: designed vs. modified other vs. modified to other use (e.g. Japanese “Dinah”)

Cargo: light, medium, heavy, super-heavy (e.g. Me-323)

Wildcards: He-162s, P-51s with and without Roll-Royce designed engines, Ta-152 vs FW-190, and so on
