HELSINKI – Das ehemalige ‚Kraft-durch-Freude‘-Schiff Wilhelm Gustloff wurde nach der Ausfahrt aus Danzig versenkt. 3.700 U-Boot-Mannschaften und 5.000 flüchtige NS-Beamte waren an Bord.

LONDON, England (UP) – Stockholm dispatches said today that 7,700 persons were lost when the 25,000-ton German ship Wilhelm Gustloff was torpedoed and sunk in the Baltic.
