I give up, why did they? T87’s were a pretty good car…
They were pretty good at hitting trees…At 100 mph…
Was that an announced feature of the car? 
The 100 mph due to design was…The other was a byproduct of the speed…
Don’t all cars at 100 mph have their intended affect (assuming that the allies wanted to take out the nazis) ? Or did it shield the passenger from harm so that the nazis could not take the easy route out ?
