What was the role The SNP and the Scottish Independence Movement

Hello all! I have been following your work since the very beginning and i’m grateful for all the work you fo especially through these times. Do you know anything about the scottish nationalist/independence movement at the time of the war and if they were pro/anti war or perhaps even nazi sympathisers? and did they causes any turmoil within Britain such as with red clydeside revolution in the first world war with a possible anti war stance? because i know the scottish national party (my preferred party) was formed around that time in 1934 and i could not find much info but i’m curious if you have any information on it. Thanks again for all the great work!

i thought this may have been relevant given that in your weekly series you covered Rudolf Hess who landed in scotland looking for nazi sympathisers
