What was the reason for Germany first war

In the meeting between Roosevelt and Churchill, they decided on a Germany first war, was this because of the agreement with Stalin that once Germany was defeated the USSR would declare war on Japan?

Personally I believe that first the reason the relationship between Britain and the US were under the impression that if the Nazis were defeated it yes would bring (and did) bring the USSR in to fight Japan but also was a MAYBE still existing racial prejudice against asian capabilities but also quite literally the proximity to Britain but also the possibility of freeing up all allied forces including France and newly Italy to fully dedicate to a pacific campaign because transporting any forces from Britain and France etc. would be difficult at best due to still existing submarine forces. Not to mention the second front promised to the USSR. Maybe? Just my uninformed opinion.
