In 2003 i was in Normandy and stayed in Trouville and found a memorial that said that the village was liberated in August or September 1944.
In 2019 i was in Le Havre for the womans world cup and was at the beach.
It is possible to see the landing area in clear weather from both areas. Does anyone know what life was in the area of France near Normandy before the breakout and what did the civilians feel? I know that the poor bastards of Le Havre was bombed when the liberation came.
