My grandfather’s grandmother and grandfather, on his mother’s side, were Ashkenazi Jews who, before moving to Boston, were from Konin and Kielce Poland. I believe some of my question may have been answered to an extent in a War Against Humanity episode, but not entirely. What I am wondering is, what happened to the Jews of Konin and Kielce Poland? What happened to the original towns? What might have been the fate of the relatives my ancestors left behind and the other Jewish residents they lived with?
