What happened to kaiser Wilhelm when the Nerherlands were occupied?

Not much really. He remained in his manor house in Doorn where he went to live after he abdicated. He would die about a year later in '41 at the age of 82. I guess Hitler was content to leave the old boy alone.

The Nazis were definitely divided in their views of Wilhelm, but in general, they had a low opinion of him.

Has anyone seen the movie, The Exception, which takes place in this time period under these events? I have not, but it got good reviews. I don’t know how accurate it is though.

When Kaiser Wilhelm II died in 1941, he received a big funeral with a lot of nazi flags and rituals, but this was against his own will. Currently, he still lays in his own mausoleum, at “Huis Doorn”, although the windows have become blurry. If you look carefully, you can still see his coffin with flag of the german empire (1871-1918) on top.
