What happend to Ethiopia in WW2, after it was freed by the Allies? Did UK stayed in control for the war, or did they turn over to the Ethiopian civilian government? Did freed Ethiopia provide troops for fighting in North Africa?

Britain, under pressure from the US agreed to sign the Anglo-Ethiopian Agreement in January of 1942 acknowledging Ethiopian sovereignty while the Italian guerrilla war in East Africa continued until September 8, 1943. However, one of the last Italian soldiers to surrender to the Allied forces was Corrado Turchetti, who wrote in his memoirs that some soldiers continued to ambush Allied troops until October 1943. Anyway, the British finalized the Anglo-Ethiopian Agreement in December of 1944, and Eritrea was placed under British Military Administration until 1950 where it became part of Ethiopia. The UN also allowed Italy to have trusteeship over former Italian Somaliland in 1949 under close supervision under the conditions that Somalia gains independence within the next ten years.
