Were there any lingering diplomatic tensions between Japan and Germany over the territories Japan took after WWI?

I’m afraid none, whatsoever because Germany and Japan where known enemies during the first part of the great world war, 1914-1989 (yes I know these numbers are my own opinion) What most people call the interbellum surely can be seen as one of the most aggressive periods of Japan’s killing and raping of Korean, manchurian and Chinese people. (Never forget). Germany was still licking its wounds from reparations and totally focused on replenishing their Luftwaffe, Wehrmacht and Kriegsmarine. Though the tripartite act implies cooperation it was never really established, simply because the countries where too far apart. Only when the war was all but lost did German u-boatforces make an effort to reach Japan but all miserably failed.
