Was there any plan in place for the invasion or occupation of Western island possessions in the South Pacific like Fiji, Tahiti, New Caledonia, or even far-off bits of land like Pitcairn Island by the Japanese?

Japan’s goals in the war in the Pacific, as I understand them, were to establish a security zone which would give them a buffer against foreign (specifically American) aggression and provide them resources to carry out their war effort, and this zone continued to balloon in size. Was there any consideration to the occupation or conquest of the South Pacific territories beyond New Zealand, or even other far-off Pacific Islands like Pitcairn, Rapa Nui or the Galapagos?
