U.S. Army rejects nephew of Hitler

New York (UP) –
William Patrick Hitler is 31, a British subject, strong and eager to fight the Germans. But he has been rejected for military service because the American Army doesn’t like his Uncle Adolf. William’s father is Alois Hitler of Vienna, Adolf Hitler’s half-brother.

They should have acceped him. Hitler would have got a big shock just like Stalin got when Germany invaded USSR.

Hitler’s family is an… interesting one :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: And Bill Pat’s story is kinda funny. And he lived in Patchogue in later life until he died.

He was later accepted for the US Navy and sent to rhe Pacific.

The common joke after he tried to enlist was:

Bill Hitler walks up to a US Army Recruiting Sergeant.

:Hello Seargeant… I wanna enlist."
"What’s your name, son?’
“Hitler.”
“Good to meet you Hitler, I’m Hess.”
