An American vet of Operation Torch once told me that they didn’t have enough toilet paper during the operation. Does anybody know more about this?

Probably too much spam in the diet 
. I am sure there would be shortages in our first major amphibious assault. (Yes Guadalcanal was wrapping up but that was Marines not army). Better short on TP than bullets. I’m not sure where you would find hard stats on reported shortages but memoirs might provide anecdotal information.
