The great human rights/activist and post war Nazi hunter lost family members to the NKVD as well as the National Socialists.
He was one of the very few to survive :-(.

Interesting, thanks for making us aware-FYI, I just picked up a book on the story of Herberts Cukurs of Latvian war crimes and how he was dealt with in Brazil in the mid 1960’s. I understand the Wiesenthal Center has continued to work hard to submit proof of his terrifying deeds that can’t be minimized or ignored…should be an interesting read.

Thanks for the tip, they have been very good in bringing a lot of the people to justice and at least putting the fear in others who got away but spend the rest of their lives looking over their shoulder.
