My family had 2 germans working on their farm, one of whom whittled a toy horse for my great aunt (who has now passed). I believe that he was from Dresden and was well aware of the dangers of the USSR so he wanted to stay in the UK. He was sent back to Germany after the war. Do any of your viewers know of any family who fit this (vague) description?
