I guess I’m doing better at getting my pilot’s license than Patton did at keeping his lol
Hey are you working on your license? All the best, it got a bit more complicated since World War 2 with these giant stack of books. But as long as you avoide the NTSB all will be fine. I know people who crashed a plane and got a license a few weeks later. (It wasn’t his fault, the Flight School should have recalled him earler)
Yes, I’m currently at 12 hours of flying
I was well on my way to getting my pilots license then I had a heart attack and became diabetic….in Canada neither will ground you but after a heart attack you cannot get a commercial license or certain ratings. What has stopped me is mandatory medical exams yearly and it can get costly especially with medical conditions.
Cool, keep at it. There are quite a lot of skills to learn but I am sure you can do it.
For me personally being a non-native in English Radio Communication was an extra challenge but I learn a lot from Pilot Edge which has paid “traffic controllers” who do a good job at simulating the tower. I use Microsoft flight sim to fly around with ATC.
And there are some other ones. I can give some more tips but those are that worked for me obviously that might not be your cup of tea I got some advice that didn’t work for me or simply was not correct (there are some show-offs around).
Best of luck and enjoy
Yeah that sucks, all the best. Keeping your medical is always a main point. Maybe just flying with an instructor can be fun too. I like to fly with instructors who know the area even if I am current on the type. Often just because he/she/etc is familiar with the area. Safety is paramount.
Then again all the best and I love Canada!
