Teachers’ Convention Raps Dictator Nations
Buffalo, N.Y., Aug. 24 (UP) –
A resolution specifically denouncing Nazism and Germany, Fascism and Italy and Communism and Russia was adopted by the American Federation of Teachers at the concluding session of its annual convention.
The resolution was adopted after a roll call vote on an amendment naming the totalitarian governments. The amendment, bitterly debated, was approved 358 to 250.
