Slovakia during WW2

Hello Indy,

I would like to ask about Slovakia and its role in WW2. Altough it is a tiny insignificant country in the middle of Europe I wonder why Hitler kept it almost intouchable during most of the conflict while all neighbouring countries suffered much worse. What was his real intentions since his obvious antislavic attitude?

Thanks, enjoying your show very much
Best regards
Miro, Slovakia

Such thing doesn’t excist. Small countries often has to act smarter and more innovative to compete with the larger countries, and thus becomes role models for others. Greetings from :denmark: (But of course we will beat you in ice hockey next time we meet)

The stories of small countries stuck between the larger forces is ALWAYS interesting. Shame we don’t get country specials like in TGW.
