On 18th of November 1942 three Finnish MTBs together with a German coastal motor minelayer attacked under the cover of darkness the Soviet forward port on the island of Lavansaari (Moshchny Island) sinking the largest Soviet surface vessel to have ventured out of Kronstadt - the old gunboat Krasnoye Znamya.
