HULL FAVORS CHANGE IN NEUTRALITY LAW
Washington, Sept. 22 (UP) –
Secretary of State Cordell Hull intimated today that he favored substantial modification of the Neutrality Act.
He declined, however, to predict whether the administration will make any early move in that direction.
The act prevents American ships from going to the British Isles with cargoes of war supplies. Its present form also forbids arming of American merchant ships.
