When I was in high school, one thing I wrote about was how there were exchange students from America sent to Nazi Germany until about 1937. I recall reading about former Boston mayor, Kevin White, describing how his teachers told him about the programs, and I recall reading about how he asserted involvement from Joseph P. Kennedy, but I cannot find the source now(I wrote about these things in 2005, so it’s been a while.) For some reason, this is now drawing renewed interest:

English public schools (that’s private schools, if you live anywhere else) had exchange programmes with German schools.
Also, Ribbentrop’s son attended Westminster School at the same time as Peter Ustinov, as related in the latter’s autobiography, Dear Me Dear Me Peter Ustinov - Google Search
