Let’s say Adolf Hitler agreed with Fedor von Bock, Heinz Guderian and others and let them continue their march to Moscow immediately after the capture of Smolensk instead of diverting Army Group Center to Leningrad and Kiev. What do you think would have happened if this alternate scenario occurred?
Personally, I think they would have lost due to the lack of ressource ,industrial capacity ,and the logistic wouldn’t be that great too ,and mmaybe they would have take the city but the death toll would be as big as stalingradif the soviet decide to defend it
