This one is for Indy as he is from Texas and hence must know everything about oil farming.
When I went to the US cemetery in Cambridge, exactly 2 years ago I saw that one of the fallen was a civilian who worked in oil development in Sherwood Forest (yes THAT famous forest). This oil development was don to lower the need for oil tankers.
Was there more of this “local oil” development in the UK and other places and did it help the effort.
