INDIAN TRIBE AT WAR WITH NAZI GERMANY
New York, Oct. 12 –

Germany is at war not only with Great Britain but with the Tuscarora Indian Nation of New York, one of the Iroquois Confederacy.

When the United States entered the World War, according to the Rev. Paris F. Hawthorne, Indian Missionary, the Tuscaroras took independent action as a nation and declared war on Germany. After the World War, the Tuscaroras never got around to signing a peace.

Same thing happened with Andorra & Costa Rica. When WWII started Andorra just acted neutral & since Germany didn’t remember their were still legally at war, ignored the small country the whole war. There was on offical Peace treaty between them until 1958. As for Costa Rica, when it was declaring war on the Axis after Pearl Harbor, their government realized the error & just declared on Japan & Italy.
