New York bars to open all night December 31
NEW YORK (AP) – The gayest New Year’s Eve celebration in New York since before the war was assured today as the State Liquor Authority announced it would permit bars to operate all night for the occasion, provided they obtain a special $10 permit.
The regular weekday closing hour is 4 a.m. Hotels and nightclubs reported they already had been receiving a flood of early reservations.
