NEW DRAFT LOTTERY SCHEDULED JULY 17
Washington, July 10 (UP) –
The nation’s second peacetime draft lottery to determine the order in which an estimated 750,000 new registrants will be subject to call for military service will be held here Thursday, July 17, under tentative plans announced today by Selective Service headquarters.
Tentative plans for the lottery call for the drawing to start at 7 p.m. at the Labor Department’s auditorium, where the 17-hour drawing of numbers of the original 17 million registrants was held last Oct. 29.
