Not to advertise but this is a great site about new books. What makes it special is that it comes with extensive interviews with the actual authors. These interviews are VERY good and not commercials for the book.
Here is an example of a historian who dove into many many German archives for his PhD and wrote a tome about it. Here is a the book and a very informative interview about the writer.
It covers also other fields and non-WW2 e.g. Papua New Guinea. Just unapologetically posting this link because a lot of my classmates were Papuan ;-).
