NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN REPORTED GRAVELY ILL
London, Nov. 8 (UP) –
Neville Chamberlain, former Prime Minister, was described today as “gravely ill.”
The former Prime Minister resigned from the Cabinet recently because of illness.
He is 71. He was Prime Minister throughout the critical period leading up to the war and was representative of a policy of '“appeasement” at one time.
Later, when the war started, the conservative leader called for a fight to the finish against Nazism.
