NAZI ‘PARTIALLY CONFESSES,’ FACES TRIAL FOR SPYING

Spokane, Wash., Sept. 6 (UP) –
U.S. Attorney Lyle Keith said today that Kurt Frederick Ludwig, alleged “mastermind” of a German espionage ring in this country, has “partially confessed.”

He disclosed the confession when Federal Judge Lewis B. Schwellenbach signed an order to remove Ludwig to New York, where he was indicted and will be tried.

Six of Ludwig’s alleged confederates have been arrested, and three, including Lucy Boehmler, 18, have pleaded guilty in New York to spying.
