Question, at the start of each month Indy reads out the allied shipping losses for the last month and mentions tonnage lost, is that figure including the weight of the cargo per-ship? or is it just the official weight without cargo?
Also, would it be possible to start mentions the axis losses as well? just for perspective
Well this month he mentioned both ship numbers and tonnage. I would also be interested in the amount of shipping constructed in a month. Of course it’s out there and way more complicated but it is a gruesome look at industrial warfare.
All the talk of tonnage without a comment on the lives lost. The sinking of the Dorchester I find haunting.
I also agree, it would be interesting to note Japanese losses. I’m sure they will be less because there is less Japanese shipping and it’s a huge ocean but it’s irreplaceable losses.
