As each major warring nation launch their offensives against the enemy in different environments, how did each nation react to the weather? During the war, weather forecast played an important role in many battles. One particular important weather forecast was for D’Day, where Allied weather reports stated it would be clear skies on June 6th. So my question is how did each nation get information on the weather, type of equipment they use, did each nation establish far meteorological stations in faraway lands, and how did each nation react to the weather? (By react I mean as in clothing, equipment protection, food, etc) Hopefully this can be answered. Overall I very much enjoyed all the work you guys do. Godspeed.
