As I went walking thru a local cemetery today I found that there was a section of the cemetery set aside for WW2 sailors and merchant mariners that died off the east coast of the United States. There are many there right across from Gate 22 at the Naval Station Norfolk. If you have the time and are somewhere close to the coast area where the shipping war took place take the time to see if your cemetery might have history that’s forgotten.
