Sadly too many German museums/politicians are still very unwilling to return the looted art to there rightful owners. Instead of cooperating the attitude is more of indifferent stonewalling and collectors claiming good faith when buying art made by Jewish painters. ( Das haben wir gewusst springs to mind not easy to translate this mindset, maybe gaslighting captures it). This chapter of WW2 is sadly not finished.

The Monuments Men Foundation are one of the biggest groups also trying to locate the missing art, on their web site they have a listing of the “Most Wanted” Art and Documents.
