Local World War 2 Landmarks

I’ve been up to see my parents who live in a town called Sherburn in-Elmet in Yorkshire, England and while unassuming on the surface, this was where they built the Fairey Swordfish bi-planes That torpedoed the rudder on the battleship Bismarck. There is a monument commemorating this in the town centre which should hopefully be attached.

I thought this might be a good thread to show how all encompassing the war was and where we could share some interesting images of local landmarks. On that note, what local landmarks connected to the war are in your local areas?
