LEGION OF DECENCY LEADER ASSAILS TREND IN FILMS
Richmond, Va., Oct. 21 –

Morally-objectionable motion pictures are increasing in number and there is a tendency toward indecency in treatment of film subjects, Rev. John J. McClafferty, executive secretary of the Legion of Decency, said here yesterday.

Rev. McClafferty spoke at a round-table discussion at the convention of the International Federation of Catholic Alumnae.

The report of the Motion Picture Committee showed that in the past two years 1,068 pictures, including 95 foreign films, were reviewed and 17 were placed in Class C, which mean they were totally condemned.
