During the night of November 27 to 28, 1942, the LEOPARD landed a company of Fusiliers marins (lit. “Navy Riflemen”) on the island of Reunion (East of Madagascar) without any other clash than an engagement with the Pointe des Galets battery. The rally from the island to free France will take place on November 30.
