Hello Indy (from a fellow Houstonian) and crew, I am curious regarding the role that many Royals and Nobles played within their respective countries during WWII. Obviously the British Royal family as well as the Japanese Emperor and the various royal families of the European countries that fell to invasion by the Wehrmacht are very well documented. Also many members of the greater Germany nobility (mostly the Prussian Junkers class) that served in the German armed forces are also well documented. However what is discussed less are the roles of the various royal families of Germany and Austria that were in power both during and before the Great War. Personally I am more curious as to the roles of certain British nobles that are less famous than let’s say Louis Mountbatten. If my question is fortunate enough to get asked on Out of the Foxholes and if it is not too much trouble can I request that the story of Captain Charles William Frederick Hope who was then Earl of Hopetoun (and the future Marquess of Linlithgow) get told. I remember Spartacus mentioning his father (who was the Marquess of Linlithgow during WWII) in one episode regarding India as he was Viceroy of India at the time. I ask this specifically because I worked at their stately home (Hopetoun House) during the summer between my Sophomore and Junior year of College and from what I was told, and the research that I did his personal story is an interesting one. Thank you to you Indy and to the whole Time Ghost team for all of the work that y’all have done, it is truly remarkable and makes accurate and detailed history available to everyone which makes the world a better place. Hopefully baseball will be back soon and the Astros will win the World Series again. GO STROS!
