Jackson says war trials will begin about November 1
WASHINGTON (UP) – Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, chief U.S. war crimes prosecutor in Europe, said today the Nuremberg trials of 24 major German war criminals probably would begin about November 1.
Jackson returned here for final instructions prior to start of the trials. He said he would return to Europe “within a few days.”
