Inventions of WW2: Microwave Radio Transmission

This was an interesting invention developed by Bell Labs in anticipation for US entrance into the War, and it was filed just days before the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was designed to really increase long-range communication and enhance walkie-talkies. Specifically, it made wireless communication easier in bad weather.

Ignore the “Nokia” here–Google lists applicants’ names retroactively, but Nokia didn’t buy Bell Labs until 2016.
