In WW1 there was some correspondence between the different kings/emperors while their governments waged wars. Was there any private letters between George VI (British King) and Hirohito (Japanese emperor) in WW2?
Edit: And maybe also between George/Hirohito to Victor Emanuel III.

Very interesting question! I suspect there was, at least, some correspondence between Edward, the former king of the UK and Axis giants like Goering, but I have no evidence of that, so I appreciate your topic very much and I hope the team and our knowledgeable army can come up withe some answers!
