In the time of the dominance of the Roman Catholic church and of the Orthodox churches, there were a number of secret or semi-secret societies formed and active.
One fun fact is that Adam Weishaupt, the founder of what became the Illuminati, had the members adopt alternate names for use within the society and his name, the founder’s name, became Spartacus, the name of one of the hosts of the timeghost clips!
It would be fun an interesting to have some clips on the formation, growth and disappearance of some of these secret societies, esp since they are alleged to have contributed in various ways to various wars or social revolutions. Maybe they did; maybe not. Of course, there was the first world war and it is alleged that the Black Hand in Serbia had trained and supplied the conspirators with the weapons needed to shot the arch-duke!
There is the Black Hand, the Illuminati, the Knights Templar and probably a dozen others such as the better known Free Masons, etc. Some of them were destroyed, allegedly, by persecution by the Roman Catholic church. There is the JBS and the “New American,” which alleges that the Illuminati continued to the present day under various alternative names and that the Illuminati are responsible for a dozen evil things going wrong in society. This has been the theory of the JBS for the last 60 years! For a while, the JBS claimed that either of the Dem and Rep candidates were members of the Illuminati and equally likely to destroy America in some way.
A lot of people would love to have some clips on the histories of these societies!
