I have heard from various channels that the instruction manuals of the German army contain more humor than those of the other belligerent nations. Will Germany lose not only the war but also their sense of humor?

After the war it was better not to bring it up with our eastern neighbors. By the way, I’m Dutch.

The British/Commonwealth manuals I’ve seen are certainly not the sort of thing you’d choose for light reading, and they appear to be uniformly devoid of anything like a sense of humour.

Yeah eg the Tiger tank manuals have some humor but also a lot of the training cartoons in Allied forces have a lot of humor to convey points. I saw a lot of “Air cartoons” for Allied planes which are very informative.

The US SNAFU cartoons are cool to and full of humor. the F… is reluctantly pronounced as Fooled but it is clear what is meant!
