How was the Oil/Fuel situation for the Soviet Union after Barbarossa

There is lots of discussion about Axis fuel situation in the later stages of the war, with limited stockpiles beeing consumed.
But how is the situation for the Soviet Union? They don’t have a worldwide empire to draw ressources from, and they are fighting quite far from any naval bases that csn unload oil/fuel tankers either way. They have Baku yeah, but how is the fuel from there transported to the front (I assume pipelines+trucks?) and how singular important is Baku for the Soviet fuel situation? Would it be smart to cut transport from Baku to Soviet forces, even if you can’t conquer Baku for yourself?
