How vital was the contributions of Dutch and belgium colonies to the allied war effort?

Dutch colonies at Dutch East Indies (Java , Borneo , Sumatra ) provided vital raw materials like rubber , tin , oil for Allied war production until invaded in 1942. Most of the uranium used in Manhattan Project came in from Belgian Congo.

I would add that a number of Dutch merchant ships managed to escape the fall of the Indies and were instrumental in the Papua New Guinea Campaign. of 1942-1943. These ships carried troops and supplies for the US and Australia and that support was instrumental in the outcome of the campaign.
