Not sure how to pronounce in Russian but these 2 are hilarious
English: Operation Uranus
Russian: Опера́ция Ура́н
[romanised: Operatsiya Uran]
Not to be confused with Operation Mars (which was to be followed with Operation Jupiter, but that was cancelled) and Operation Saturn (which was redesignated Little Saturn).
Though Uranus was a major succes, Mars is generally seen as a failure with benefits. The key benefit being that the Germans could not transfer (as planned) at least 7 divisions (including 3 armored) to the southern sector as they had to be used to plug gaps resulting from Operation Mars.
My favorite was the acronym PLUTO. Whomever came up with that name must have been so pleased with themselves, they nailed it.
I noticed from the Next episode (On Patreon) that Indy chose the Steve Harvey pronunciation.
. Steve does run the show here ;-).
But agree the Russian one is better. I worked in Russia for a while and could read Cyrrillic but not very good at it.
Just very serious follow up, no snickering allowed Neil deGrasse Tyson Explains Uranus - YouTube
