Quite appropriate timing, considering today was Thanksgiving Day in 1942

My first thanksgiving was 1995 in the Santa Fe New Mexico Hostel which still exists. We tourist were kind of worried why the shops suddenly started closing down but ended up with a great traditional thanksgiving meal provided by the hostel :-). Back then no one had heard about thanksgiving now Black Friday (which runs for 7 days now) is a real thing here as well.
